Account deletion

You can request deletion of your CostEat account and associated data using the Android app or by contacting support@costeat.com.
Delete your account in the Android app
- Open CostEat and sign in.
- Open the Profile tab.
- Select Delete account.
- If you have an active Google Play subscription, cancel it in Google Play and refresh the subscription status in CostEat.
- Type delete and confirm.
For eligible single-member organizations, this permanently deletes the CostEat account and associated application data.
Shared organizations and support-assisted deletion
If your account belongs to an organization with multiple members, the app will not delete the organization automatically. Email support@costeat.com from your account email address with the subject CostEat account deletion request. We will verify the request and help transfer ownership or complete deletion as applicable.
What is deleted
Depending on the organization setup, deletion removes your CostEat account, authentication sessions, profile, organization-scoped app records, recipes, ingredients, preparations, purchases, suppliers, invoice extraction records, and subscription-linking records.
What may be retained
We may retain limited information when required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, dispute-resolution, or security reasons. If retention is required, access is limited and the information is kept only for the applicable retention period.
